In the late 90s, he started mixing different techniques on the walls, using spray paint, paint with brush, stencil or collage.
Coming from the graffiti movement where the choice of the wall and the background plays an essential role, Guillaume Grando started to create his own resins in 2016, embellished with different patterns. These patterns remind him of the surface of the ocean but also the texture of the elements. The gold leaf being used to enhance the reflection of the sun.
Through the technique borrowed from the shapers, he likes to be surprised by the patterns his works take, a moment when the art follows its own path. The surface becomes an object that can be cut to create a rhythm in the composition of the works, which then freezes as the resin solidifies.
Since his first walls in 1990, SupaKitch will not cease to paint bigger and bigger ones. Last notable achievement in Montpellier in 2019, a facade of 450m2 for the Halles du Lez.
