This atypical career path makes him an emblematic artist of a generation coming from the pop, rock, urban culture, open to its time. Resolutely contemporary, his work absorbs and mixes these influences and draws from them a surprising energy and sophistication.
Cédrix CRESPEL's works explore, between gentleness and violence, the contemporary feminine where the woman is staged in a symbolic universe in a praiseworthy manner. His perfect Glycero-style flat tints give an icy impression contradicted by the energy of the colors, a mechanical realization that excludes any vulgarity. His work shows women with a singular graphic blurring of the faces because his only goal is to paint femininity in its broadest sense. The whole of his work seduces by the richness of its analysis and its energy. Cedrix CRESPEL's universe transports us into a painting free of all sociology. 2011 : publication of a monograph by AD GALERIE, a 144-page book written by Renaud Faroux and prefaced by Philippe Huart.
